Who selects the library's books?

Selection of library materials is the joint responsibility of the library faculty and the teaching faculty. The librarians assume primary responsibility for the overall selection of materials. They evaluate, prioritize, and work on building a balanced collection. The librarians carry the responsibility for the Reference collection and those areas that do not fall within any department.

All members of the university community are able to submit requests for items that they would like to see added to the collection. These requests will be given serious consideration if they meet the guidelines of the library's collection development policy.
